MDC4000®

MDC4000 NetworkPlease Note: This software is by special quotation only. Please call for sales information.

MDC4000 is a network based system that monitors the status (e.g. the start and stop of cycle, etc.) of machines and automatically records changes in their status. The premise of the system's design is that changes in machine status should be collected automatically by a central PC - and that user intervention should be limited to an absolute minimum.

  • Machine Monitoring
  • Machine Data Collection (MDC )
  • Production Data Collection (PDC)

For safe data transfer and program storage, check out DNC4000 + DITB, a hardware and software package for DNC connections.

Single machines (e.g. machinery of any kind, with or without a control, CNC machines, injection molding machines, etc.) are connected with digital I/Os to specialized Quinx Ethernet adapters which automatically report the changes in status to the central MDC computer.

When Quinx SCD-DM is already in use, the same adapter can be used to gather digital signals from the machine and send them to the MDC4000 server program. Through DNC, preparation time can also be recorded automatically.

DNC and MDC server can share the same computer or can be installed on different PCs. The MDC4000 server software updates automatically all client PCs with any change in status.

Using MDC4000, all authorized users can do the following work:

  • Define downtime reasons.
  • View in real-time, all productive and non-productive machines.
  • View all up-time and down-time details per machine over the past 90 days.
  • Display productivity statistics per machine, department or plant - and compare them to the preceding month, quarter or year.

MDC4000 Screen ShotMDC4000 works with the latest technology and provides a maximum of information on machines and their productivity, with a minimum of effort. The system allows you to recognize bottlenecks and malfunctions quickly so that you can take remedial actions immediately.

MDC4000 can be expanded to a full PDC production data collection system that uses barcode readers or terminals for collecting order or operator data.

MDC4000 is a combination of hardware and software working together perfectly. It uses consistently modern network-based technology and software standards of the Internet.
